LCVS Flex+ (Home Education)

Flexible Learning for Home Education Families

Leon County Virtual School (LCVS) Flex+ allows families enrolled in Home Education to access online courses while maintaining the flexibility to create a learning schedule that works for their student.

Unlike full-time virtual school, FLEX+ offers rolling enrollment, meaning students can request courses throughout the school year without waiting for a specific enrollment window.

Students can take individual courses to meet their educational goals, including earning middle school credits, completing high school courses while in middle school, getting ahead academically, or working toward high school graduation requirements.

How Does Flex+ Work?

Families must be registered with the Leon County Schools Home Education program and have a FOCUS Parent Portal account. Once registered, students can request supplemental virtual courses through LCVS.

Flex+ students work with certified teachers, complete online assignments, and participate in required assessments and teacher communication. Students and families can also work with their instructors to establish a personalized pacing plan that supports their educational goals.
